Susan has been employed in the GIS industry for over 20 years primarily focused in Municipal Government, providing system-wide GIS assessments, database development, design, web mapping, spatial analysis and classroom training. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Modeling and Risk Analysis from SUNY - College of Environmental Science and Forestry and she was certified as a GIS Professional from the GIS Certification Institute in 2008. Throughout her career Susan has maintained a strong commitment to the GIS Profession, serving as the President of the New York State GIS Association in 2015 and on the NYS GIS Conference (NYGeoCon) Committee from 2007-2017. Susan is committed to lifelong learning. She earned a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University in 2017 and most recently she completed the Indigenous Canada course offered by the Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta.
